Poem of the Day

thinking about him..

In My Life
By The Beatles

There are places I’ll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Bukit Bendera, Batu Feringhi..

haha.. eu

...

there she goes

Batu Feringhi..

The beach itself is quite good. It was kept clean, even on weekends when hordes of day-trippers visit.Batu Ferringhi can be crowded and much of the greenery has been replaced by concrete, but also the advantages (plenty of restaurants, watering holes and recreation facilities). It has quite a lively resort feel, and there is a good night markets on the main road selling trinkets. The big hotels offer good deals at times and cheaper accommodation is available if you want a few days by the beach. can't wait to try some of the beach activities on my next visit to Batu Feringhi..

arrived at bukit bendera..(Penang Hill)

Penang Hill is one of the most popular tourist destinations. Well, this is my first trip to Penang Hill and would love to visit again next time.During school holidays and weekends, the funicular train can be very crowded with long queues. Often tickets are sold out (like what we've experienced). Now same day ticket can be bought in advance and you can just come back at your assigned time.Round trip ticket at RM4 for an adult is a steal.

You can come down at any time but factor 30 minutes to an hour wait. There are no cars up there. The entire George Town is 800 meters below your feet. The most popular and recommended way for tourists is to take the funicular train. There is a waiting time and so plan ahead.

Up at the top, you have excellent views of George Town, Penang Bridge and the mainland across the channel. Worth having coffee or tea at the Bellevue Hotel for an outstanding panaromic view. It is cool and can be chilly and windy at night especially after a rain. Night view when the lights are out is spectacular.

Train arrives every 15 minutes. Total of 30 minutes to get to the top of the Penang Hill. The waiting time can be up 2 hours on crowded days. Visit to Penang Hill a must if you have time.
